About DIP Switches


DIP switches, short for Dual In-line Package switches, are small, manually operated switches packaged in a dual in-line configuration. They consist of a series of tiny switches arranged in a row on a rectangular housing, typically with a plastic body and metal contacts. DIP switches are commonly used for configuring electronic circuits, setting device parameters, and selecting options in various applications such as circuit prototyping, electronic testing equipment, and industrial control systems.
