About LVDT Transducers (Linear Variable Differential Transformer)


LVDT transducers, or linear variable differential transformers, are electromechanical devices designed to convert linear displacement or position changes into electrical signals. LVDT transducers consist of a primary winding and two secondary windings wound around a cylindrical core. As the core moves linearly within the LVDT housing, it induces voltages in the secondary windings proportional to the core's position relative to the primary winding. LVDT transducers offer high accuracy, linearity, and resolution over a wide range of displacement, making them ideal for precision measurement and control applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing.
