About RFI and EMI - Shielding and Absorbing Materials


RFI (Radio-Frequency Interference) and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) shielding and absorbing materials are designed to mitigate the effects of unwanted electromagnetic radiation in electronic systems and devices. These materials include conductive coatings, shielding tapes, ferrites, absorbers, and gaskets that block or absorb electromagnetic energy to reduce interference and noise. RFI and EMI shielding materials are used in electronic enclosures, cables, PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards), and electronic devices to prevent electromagnetic interference from external sources or other components within the system. They help ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and compliance with regulatory standards in electronic products and systems.
