Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) in the form of Metal-Oxide Varistors (MOVs) are crucial components in the electronics industry designed to protect electronic circuits from voltage surges or transients. MOVs are semiconductor devices with a non-linear voltage-current characteristic, providing a high resistance at normal operating voltages and low resistance at higher voltages.
